On Tuesday April 7, 2020 we released a new version of Kizeo Forms that works on both iOS and Android operating systems. This raises the question of the compatibility of this new version with mobile devices equipped with the Windows 10 operating system.
Following its failure with the Windows Phone operating system, Microsoft has lost momentum on mobile technologies. Moreover, as a result of this, Facebook, the original creator of React Native*, did not make this technology compatible with Microsoft's latest operating system: Windows 10. Microsoft then decided to participate in the development of React Native in order to make this technology compatible with Windows 10. We are therefore dependent on Microsoft's advances and hope to be able to offer on Windows 10 (exclusively) a version equivalent to the new version of Kizeo Forms. As you will have understood, this will only be possible once their operating system is compatible with React Native. However, we do not have a clear timeline at this point in time.
The Kizeo Forms (2011) application on Windows will remain functional and will not disappear after October 7, 2020. We guarantee it. However, we will no longer be able to provide updates to this version and we will not be able to offer you the new features present in the new version of Kizeo Forms. We remain very attentive to Microsoft's announcements and advances in order to be able to begin the work necessary to be able to offer you the new version of Kizeo Forms on Windows 10. If you have the possibility to use another mobile device, here are the links to the new version of Kizeo Forms on Google Play (Android) or on the Appstore (iOS).
Do not hesitate to share them with us, we will take the time necessary to provide you with all the answers you need.
In a nutshell:* React Native: is a leading framework, in the field of development, used by all the major mobile applications: Facebook, Instagram, Sound Cloud, Discovery, Airbnb etc. This framework is used to build in JavaScript native applications under iOS and Android. In other words, it allows to produce cross-platform and similar mobile applications across different environments. Thus, the user experience is identical across operating systems.
